SAS Survival Guide: How to Survive Anywhere, on Land or at Sea (Collins GEM) - by John 'Lofty' Wiseman:

Is a must read book for all serious Bushcrafters. I got my copy in the 1980's and often practised in the local woodlands. This edition is the pocket Gem version making it easier to stuff in your Bergen, while not losing any of the essential information you require to survive. Tip: read it cover to cover, and then read it again, before you go on any adventures.

The Self-sufficiency Manual (Hardcover) - by John Seymour:

I was given my copy when I was just a young lad in the 1970's. It is in my opinion, the most inspirational Manual for those wishing to operate a smallholding that is availiable. It has inspired me to this day, no longer a dreamer, now a realist, working my own Smallholding in South Devon.

Food for Free (Collins GEM)

by Richard Mabey:

The pocket version of the Classic Foragers Guide, Ideal for quick reference on the land.

Grow Your Own Drugs: Easy Recipes for Natural Remedies and Beauty Treats (Hardcover)

by James Wong:

With easy recipes for natural remedies using Flowers, Fruit, Vegetables, Roots, Trees and Herbs, you can learn to unleash the powers of plants to help ease the symptoms of every day ailments - naturally.

Trangia Mini Cookset -

The best small scale Trangia cookset availiable.

Including: spirit burner, pot with lid that can be used as a small frying pan, a pan handle, a small windbreak which doubles as a pot holder, a simmer ring so that you can adjust the flame rate, and a screw cap to carry fuel inside the burner (when burner is cold)

Trangia Alcohol Spirit Burner with screw cap -

Without doubt the least you need, but you will have to fashion your own windbreak, pot, and pot holder. I have used the aluminium from beer cans or pop cans to make light weight wind sheilds, cooking pots and pot stands.
A must for the minimalist Back-packer in No Fire Zones.

Camping UK Folding Stand for Spirit Stoves -

Ideal as a minimalist pot stand for backpackers where space and weight is critical

At the time of this review, costing only £ 2.99, couple this stand with the Camping uk Spirit burner at only £ 5.99, and you must have the cheapest basic Spirit Burner and Pot holder combo around.

Camping UK Spirit Stove -
A Generic Alcohol Spirit Burner styled like the Trangia, with a simmer ring, and screwcap for the minimalist Back-packer who is walking in zones where open fires are not permitted.

Tip: Use the Fire Steel to light your Spirit Burner - one strike is all you usually need.

Kelly Kettle 2 ½ Pint:

This has to be the most sustainable way to boil lots of water. After years of messing about with cheaper (and more expensive) stoves, I have not looked back since buying my Kelly Kettle. And as it uses fuels you pick up, such as twigs, straw, dry grass, old newspaper, it is greener than most.

Accessory Kit for Kelly Kettle -

This Pot & Stand Accessory Kit is invaluable to use with the kelly kettle when boiling water for tea, as you can fry an egg on the top while waiting for the kettle to boil. often the kettle is boiled before the food is cooked, so using the pot handle to remove the pot and pot stand, simply remove kettle, and add the supplied grill to the Kelly Kettle Fire Pot and replace the cooking pot to continue cooking.

FireSteel - Army Edition:

This is my back-up for when my Zippo runs out of fuel unexpectedley. Produces a shower of sparks to light char-cloth or other tinder.

If you use Spirit Burners, A Fire Steel will always ignite the Alcohol fuel even when matches are too damp to light.

Original Zippo Lighter Brushed Chrome:

In my opinion, The only lighter you need.

As a non-smoking Zippo user, I use the Zippo to light my Kelly Kettle (in any weather) and for lighting open fires, when working on the land.

Sealey 500W Inverter: Mains power from a 12 Volt Battery

We use this inverter to power our Tool-Store, It lets us use the 240v Ac battery chargers for cordless power tools, and with the use of GU10 Exergi 4.4w Led Lights, we can light the tool store too.

EXERGI Hyperbright LED Light Bulb, GU10, Wide Flood, Warm White, 2700-3500k (A viable GU10 Halogen Replacement)

All Low energy LED GU10 Halogen replacements are NOT the same.
The nearest rival to the EXERGI Hyperbright LED GU10, Wide Flood, Warm White, Is the Megaman 7W Led GU10 which sell for £45.00 Each. That price is not economically sustainable to the average person wishing to green up their home. But there is no need to compromise and have poor lighting.
The EXERGI Hyperbright LED GU10 is currently the most viable Halogen retro-fit replacement lamp.
